L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush in Soft Berry Review

Having used only powder forms of blusher ( my favourite - Cover FX) for a very long time, the thought of cream products makes me go a little daunted on how to use them, but well.

Another little product purchased from over the pond.

Looking at the ingredients above, you can see that the first and second ingredients, cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone crosspolymer, are also two of the main ingredients that you will find in MANY popular silicone-based face primers (Benefit, Smashbox, etc.). In fact, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a silicone-based face primer that does not include these two ingredients.

Given that there aren't many ingredients in this product to begin with, and that the two main ingredients are commonly found in face primers, I think it's safe to say that this blush is like a face primer...but packed with colour!

When you squeeze the product out of the tube the consistency isn't a gel or cream but a blop! A good blop must I say, when you rub the product along with your finger it glides beautifully smooth as does a primer.

Looking at the fully blended swatch, you can see some shimmer in the pigmentation and the colour is a beautiful blush pink. You do have to be careful when using this product that you don't go to overboard with the amount you use, as you may become a clown and a bit to flushed if you do overload. To get the correct amount of colour I'd say a pea size is enough for each cheek. This way you can terminate how much more is required if you look like the colour isn't complimenting that well. The more you blend the product along your cheek bone the more you can control with the pigmentation. It's totally adjustable because it doesn't really "set". It's more like a powder blush in that regard--it doesn't set like a liquid cheek tint does.

If the idea of a pigmented blush that goes on like a silicone-based face primer (think Benefit The POREfessional, Smashbox Photo Finish, etc.) sounds appealing to you, then you are going to LOVE this blush. It gives the same smooth, airbrushed quality to the skin as many popular face primers, only with a beautiful, easily-controllable flush of colour.
